ABC Action News Tampa Bay App Reviews

Hate the new format. Too many huge ads. Too little content. Horrible upgrade. Sad really that folks supposedly "in the business" actually make things worse.

Obviously designed for people who hate to read the news.

Update 9/21/3016: decided to give it another try. Its even worse now that ads pop into news stories that you cant get rid of. So you cant read the story. I expect better from ABC. ABC Actions news was for years my favorite Tampa news app. The new update makes it my least favorite. Now I can only see one or two stories per screen shot. No more list of news stories I can look down and decide what I want to read. Now I have to scroll continuously to find what I want to read. I used to be able to double tap the news story to return to the home page. No more. Now I have to click the "x" in the right hand corner. No more scrolling to the right or left to get news from different areas such as local, national or other news topics. I dont mind improvements, but the change is not an improvement. I think they hired high school tech students to practice designing this app.

I was reading a news and a pop advertise appear. I closed and delete this app

ABC has been my go to "News Station" for the last 30 yrs! What really hooked me, while I was working on my days off I volunteered at the Station with ABC Action News on your side. Helping victims of wrong doing and was trained by other associates that were qualified . While working you could watch the news broadcast live and meet the news casters. They all work hard in preparing and verifying their stories before airing live on TV. Its actually a very interesting and enjoyable work place! : )

The App makes it easier to stay in touch with the world no matter where you are or what you are doing

Great app for local and national news. Easy to use. I wish the updates came in a bit quicker but overall works great no issues.

ABC Action News app has been my go-to news source since I moved to Florida in 2009. News is updated throughout the day as well as notifying me of breaking news. Their customer service support team responds to any problems you may be having with the app, and their technical staff promptly works on solving the problems. You will not be disappointed in this app!

Awesome and love it but 7 day forecast lags every few days sometimes pretty bad

Good local news app. Thank you for removing the AM airport temp alert. Now please discontinue nuisance alerts for national news items. I dont need three alerts about the court case of the day, happening a couple states over. I can read that at my own leisure later, without needing to interrupt me right now. Please broadcast only actionable LOCAL must know weather and traffic alerts, like if a tornado is on the ground or Interstate x is closed of. You get the idea.

I love the weather section. Keeps me informed and on top of what I need to plan for the day. Bill Logan is my favorite.

I lie this app but l wish we could watch the weather chat

Tired of program locking up. Looked nice and set up was easy to navigate! Would just lock up constantly. Very annoying.

Its great during the week, but nothing but the weather seems to be updated on the weekend. It gives you the impression that they are not truly committed to this app.

I expected this app to be carry the same stories, traffic and weather as the morning news on TV. I cant get TV in my bathroom, so I thought this would fill the gap. Unfortunately the stories were not the same as on TV, and this morning they were the same as they broadcast yesterday! Now I cant trust that the news is current, so how can I trust the traffic or weather? Very diappointing.

This app used to be a good local news app for the Tampa area. However now an ad starts up and cant be dismissed. Clicking the X closes the ad but then it starts back up.

These folks are great. They often have the info first and always have it right. Get the notifications and be the first to know.
